Grammar Suggestions
To impress the examiner, focus on a range of sentence structures:
-
Complex Sentences (Although it was a challenging experience, I learned a lot from it.)
-
Relative Clauses (The person who inspired me the most is…)
-
Past & Future Tenses (I visited this place last year, and I hope to go there again soon.)
-
Conditionals (If I had the chance, I would definitely do it again.)
-
Passive Voice (This tradition is widely celebrated in my country.)
🔹 Practice Task: Try to include at least one of these structures in your response.
Time Management
-
First 20-30 seconds: Set up your topic and give background information.
-
Next 40-60 seconds: Expand with details, personal experiences, and examples.
-
Last 10-20 seconds: Conclude smoothly without repeating yourself.
⏳ Tip: Use your one-minute preparation wisely. Write keywords, not full sentences to avoid sounding robotic.
Final Advice
✅ Speak naturally and confidently.
✅ Avoid long pauses—paraphrase if you forget a word.
✅ Use intonation and emphasis to sound more engaging.
