Lesson summary:

Episode: 1

This lesson continues with essay writing.

Important information:

Miscellaneous

  • Writing must only be submitted by email with your student ID Number to thinkincafekk@gmail.com.

  • Students should download the recommended books.

Essential Points

  1. Articles (a, an, the):

    • Use articles appropriately. "A" and "an" are used for non-specific nouns, while "the" is used for specific nouns.

  2. Conjunctions:

    • Use conjunctions (although, despite this, and, but, or, so, even though, though) appropriately to connect ideas and create logical relationships between sentences and clauses.

  3. Subject and Object Pronouns:

    • Ensure that you use the correct subject and object pronouns. For example, "He gave it to Sarah and me" is correct, while "He gave it to Sarah and I" is not.

  4. Relative Clauses:

    • Use relative clauses (who, which, that) to add information about a noun in a sentence. For example, "The book that I read was interesting."

  5. Modal Verbs:

    • Use modal verbs (can, could, will, would, should, etc.) appropriately to express possibility, necessity, ability, or other conditions.
